Hellwig 2011: 2-piece table with wide single purfling and old bass bar; 2-piece back (arched) with no purfling; lower and middle bouts with overhanging edges. Neck and all fittings by Ingo Muthesius, 1988-89. One of half a dozen unusually small instruments, perhaps made for use at high pitch. Back widths 26.1/19.1/33.0. Repair habels: “Wohlert Hinrich / Hinckelmann, / Violinmacher in Hamburg. / Rapar. An 1792” [printed except 92]; “Reparirt von J. Diehl, / Geigenmacher. Bremen 1841” [printed except 1841]; Repariert / von / Carl Casdorff. 1864” [printed except 1864]; “Restauriert / Ingo Muthesius / Paris 1989” [name printed, rest handwritten]. Muthesius 2005: table joint constructed with a point and later planed to desired curvature.
