Website: quinton; date before 1675 (when Epp died). Shallow ribs. Tourin gave maker’s name as “Loph” and size as quinton (though body corners are not pointed). More likely a viola d’amore: too early for a pardessus, especially with only 5 strings. (Body length measured on back, including button.)
