Comments:
Only body is original (with new bass bar and soundpost plate), plus head; restored by Charles Riché, 1994ff. Dimensions not in his article; taken from Judith Kraft’s copy of his drawing (so not over arching). Various modifications in 19-20th C, but according to owner (in conversation, 9/09) it was never turned into a cello. 2-piece table with low arching and single purfling; 2-piece back cut on the slab, with no purfling; no corner blocks or linings, but parchment on most joints.
