Comments:

Striped back and ribs (dark wood on back is mahogany, on ribs cedar); double purfling. Head probably by La Fille. New neck, fingerboard, block and fittings. (Neck when bought was too short, narrow, and rounded: violin-style.) 2 pegs treble, 3 bass side. Otterstedt 2004: dendrochronology gives date of 1739 for tfor youngest growth ring on table.
