Comments:

Stradner 1986: Many cello features, heavily built, currently unfretted. Repair label: “Joh. J. Pilat, Leoben”. Photos: rosette; dark fingerboard with three wide stripes in lighter wood (middle one stops 2/3 of way up); tailpiece splays wider at bridge end; tailgut and endpin receptacle. Pegs honey-colored with white pips; carved head rather small in proportion to pegbox, with straight hair parted in middle and curling under at chin level.
